Biography |
The 1970’s |

I first became interested in music at secondary school, playing keyboards in a school rock band. |

Musical influences very much Deep Purple, ELP, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Focus and Tangerine Dream. |
· |
Edgar Froese was my hero but also very influenced by the Stranglers when the Black and White album was released. |

At college played keyboards in a band and began writing music in a Steve Hillage/Stranglers/Tangerine Dream style! |
· |
Graduated from Imperial College with a physics degree then trained and qualified as an accountant. |
· |
Continued to take an active interest in music, particularly rock, blues and electronic. Tastes included U2, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, George Thorogood, Michelle Shocked, Iggy Pop, The Waterboys, Pink Floyd and Neil Young. |

Got back into playing keyboards again. Could afford a synthesiser for the first time - Korg Wavestation acquired |

Got married in 1993 to Anne. Began setting up a home studio and writing music. |

Birth of my first daughter in 2000 - Ailsa (“Ali”). Gave up work to look after her with the intention of developing a career in music. |

In 2002 along came second daughter - Catriona (“Cat”). |
· |
Found kids to be a lot more hard work than expected! Now have a bit of help looking after the two girls so I can spend more time on the commercial side of writing and recording music for business. |

In 2003, I started the excellent “Music for the Media” course and will graduate with a diploma in 2004. |
